Connect. Grow. Serve.

“By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.” — John 13:35

At First Methodist Church, San Angelo, we believe faith grows when we live it together. Whether you’re looking for a Bible study, a small group, meaningful fellowship, or an opportunity to serve others, there are many ways to get connected, deepen your faith, and make a difference.

Serve Our Community

We are committed to sharing Christ’s love by serving our neighbors in San Angelo and beyond. First Methodist partners with local organizations including Daily Bread Soup Kitchen, Meals for the Elderly, Child Protective Services, Texas Ramps, and others to meet needs throughout our community.

Our outreach also includes Costa Rica Mission Teams, which travel periodically to serve children, share the love of Jesus, and assist with construction projects. Local mission and service projects are offered throughout the year as needs arise.

Each Sunday, breakfast is provided at the church for anyone who is hungry, and our Methodist Assistance ministry provides ongoing food assistance to individuals and families in need during the week.

Grow in Your Faith

There are many opportunities to study God’s Word, ask questions, build relationships, and grow in your walk with Christ.

Our Adult Sunday School classes meet each Sunday at 9:30 am, with a variety of classes and studies to choose from.

Weekly opportunities also include Morning Glories, a women’s Bible study meeting Tuesdays at 10:00 am, and Wednesday Night Friends, which meets Wednesdays at 6:00 pm.

Throughout the year, First Methodist also offers seasonal and short-term Bible studies and other opportunities for spiritual growth.

Find Community & Support

Faith is meant to be shared. First Methodist encourages and supports participation in the Walk to Emmaus, a three-day spiritual retreat designed to strengthen and renew your relationship with Christ.

We also offer GriefShare, a supportive ministry for those navigating the loss of a loved one.
