Lake View Lighthouse

First Methodist Church, San Angelo is a Local Ministry Partnership with the Lake View Community of San Angelo, TX. Utilizing the old Lake View United Methodist Church building, located directly across from Goliad Elementary, FirstChurch will be working with the community to build relationships, meet practical and spiritual needs, and continue the mission of the Church to "Make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world."

LIGHTHOUSE AND GOLIAD ELEMENTARY MINISTRIES

We will be doing Monday Munchies with Goliad after school 4/29, 5/6, 5/13, & 5/20. Students and parents are invited to learn how to make healthy kid friendly snacks.Our hope is to have representatives of La Esperanza, Tom Green County Library, and Child Advocacy center present to give out information to parents about upcoming events and activities we are planning for the Lighthouse. Would love to have some volunteers for these afternoons. Please contact Lesa or Sherrie Walker.

Lesa is working with La Esperanza to get the mobile clinic to start coming out to the Lighthouse on a regular basis. This is another opportunity to meet the parents and let them know what great opportunities are coming to the Lighthouse.

Lighthouse Kids Summer Meals - The Lighthouse Kids Summer Meal program is scheduled for Monday-Friday, June 10 – August 2 (not meeting the week of July 4^th). Meals will be prepared and served at The Lighthouse from 11:30-12:30. Volunteers will be needed from 10:00-1:00. Sign-up will start in May. FMI please contact Sherrie Walker in the Church Office.
