Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight and the sin that clings so closely, and let us run with perseverance the race that is set before us Hebrews 12:1

Our Heritage

For more than 140 years, First Methodist Church has been part of the San Angelo community—a place where generations have gathered to worship, grow in faith, serve others, and share the love of Jesus Christ.

Throughout our history, God’s faithfulness has sustained and shaped our church. While ministries, buildings, and generations have changed, our calling remains—to make disciples of Jesus Christ and faithfully serve our community and the world.

We celebrate where God has brought us, while looking with hope and excitement toward where He is leading us next.

Our story is deeply rooted in Scripture and the Wesleyan and Methodist traditions that continue to shape our faith, worship, and understanding of what it means to follow Christ.
